Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island is seeking a strong leader to manage a residential facility in Providence, RI. The role includes supervising staff, managing the program budget, scheduling, and purchases while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

The position supports trauma-informed practice through Trauma Systems Therapy in the milieu setting and requires a Bachelor's in human services plus supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services required.
• Minimum of two (2) year supervisory experience.
• Willingness and capability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as scheduled and on-call responsibilities.
• Knowledge of and sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, racial and socioeconomic issues.
• Capabilities to implement appropriate child management techniques, which may include use of passive physical restraint.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Requires current drivers license, reliable transportation with a minimum of 3 seats in addition to the drivers seat and proof of automobile insurance.
• Bilingual/ASL skills are compensated by an additional 6%, above base pay.
• Multilingual skills are compensated by an additional 8%, above base pay.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the residential facility's overall management and operations.
• Supervise program staff, program budget, staff scheduling, program purchases and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with all required trainings for staff per agency/state regulations.
• Monitor the residential program with Trauma Systems Therapy (TST) in the milieu setting.
