Job summary

Knobelsdorff (KE) seeks a Residential Program Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations for a 10‑week, live‑in training program at our Oglesby, IL site. You will coordinate with instructional and facilities teams to maintain safety, culture, and participant progress.

The role emphasizes hands‑on training support, cohort cohesion, and mentoring participants toward industrial solar fieldwork readiness. Onsite leadership and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in residential program management or related fields.
• Ability to build rapport with adult learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience managing residential or group‑living environments.
• Excellent communication, de‑escalation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Comfortable with physical labor training and industrial construction culture.
• Experience with system-impacted or equity eligible populations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day program execution and coordinate with instructional and facilities teams.
• Uphold residential standards, culture, accountability, and cohesion.
• Oversee participant orientation, check‑in, schedules, and housing records.
• Coordinate facility maintenance, safety checks, and residential needs.
• Build a positive cohort culture focused on teamwork and readiness.
• Mentor participants with coaching, conflict resolution, and support.
• Partner with Evolve Foundation to integrate life skills and resources.
• Coordinate with instructors to support training, attendance, and logistics.
• Enforce safety protocols and incident reporting requirements.
• Collaborate to evaluate curriculum and capture lessons learned.
• Ensure continuity across cohorts and carry forward best practices.
