Job summary

May Institute in Randolph, MA seeks a Program Manager to lead a Children’s Residential Program for ages 5–21 with Autism and developmental disabilities. You will supervise staff, ensure safety and a nurturing environment, and coordinate services in a group home setting.

You will manage budgets, schedules, and on-call rotations while collaborating with clinical teams. A bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience are preferred; driving is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license with at least 1 year of licensed driving experience.
  • Patience, compassion, and the ability to support children with diverse communication and behavioral needs.
  • 2+ years experience supporting children or individuals with special needs.
  • Previous supervisory experience implementing crisis intervention procedures.
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills with empathy, patience, and respect.
  • Experience with budgeting, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Experience in Human Services and with Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and monitoring to residential staff to ensure effective implementation of behavior support plans and IEPs and complete necessary documentation.
  • Oversee daily group home operations such as budgeting, staffing, adherence to weekly schedule, coordination of community outings, grocery shopping, and more.
  • Ensure QA/QI procedures are adhered to, working directly in ratio with students, maintaining environmental safety and a homelike environment.
  • Attend clinical meetings, PM meetings, run monthly house staff meetings and develop meeting agendas.
  • Participate in PM on-call rotation covering with the assistant manager on-call through a rotating schedule.

As a Program Manager (PM) in our residential program, you’ll provide strong and reliable leadership to help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can grow, thrive, and achieve greater independence.

Your Impact

What You Bring
