Job summary

Socket.dev seeks a Residential Program Manager to oversee a living program for adults with developmental disabilities in Massachusetts. You will supervise staff, ensure health and safety, and implement person-centered plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

You'll coordinate trainings, monitor medications, and maintain compliance with MAP standards while promoting a supportive, home-like environment and community integration.

Qualifications

  • Two years of supervisory experience in human services.
  • Willing to obtain MA MAP & CPR/First Aid within five months of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate staff.
  • Arrange staff schedules to meet health and safety needs.
  • Create Positive Behavior Supports atmosphere in the programs.
  • Oversee ISP planning and ensure related documentation is completed.
  • Participate in assessments of referrals, admissions and discharges.
  • Ensure program and person records meet agency standards.
  • Liaise with families/guardians, DDS, and outside providers.
  • Supervise housekeeping and vehicle maintenance.
  • Participate in budget development and monitor expenses.
  • Monitor medications in accordance with MAP regulations.
  • Teach NSCS trainings to newly hired employees.

Job description

As a Residential Program Manager, you will be responsible for the clinical and administrative aspects of a residential program for adults living with developmental disabilities, as well as the overall health and safety of the persons residing there. You will help people in the areas of daily living skills, transportation, skill-building, money management, medication administration, risk mitigation and other areas based on the person centered treatment plan.

What you'll do:
  • Recruit, train, supervise, evaluate, and facilitate progressive discipline as needed for all staff in conjunction with the Residential Services Coordinator.
  • Arrange staff schedules to meet the health and safety requirements, as well as the individual needs of the people.
  • Create a Positive Behavior Supports atmosphere in the programs, following the PBS model.
  • Oversee use of the ISP system to complete ISP planning and ensure related documentation is completed in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the assessment of person referrals, admissions and discharges.
  • Ensure the program and person records are current, comprehensive and meet agency and funding source standards.
  • Liaison with families/guardians, DDS, and other outside service providers.
  • Supervise and participate in the housekeeping and maintenance of the house and vehicle.
  • Participate in the development of the program budget, and monitor the program expenses.
  • Monitor medications in accordance with MAP regulations.
  • Teach NSCS trainings to newly hired employees.
What you'll need:
  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Two years experience in human services and supervisory experience required.
  • Skills:
    • Must obtain Massachusetts MAP & CPR/First Aide certification within five (5) continuous months of hire (training provided).
    • Valid Mass driver's license required.
