Job summary

Allied Community Programs in Enfield, CT is seeking a Residential Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of one or more residential programs for adults with developmental disabilities. The role focuses on ensuring a safe, respectful home environment that promotes independence and community involvement.

You will supervise staff, assist with scheduling and program needs, and ensure programs comply with agency policies and DDS regulations.

Qualifications

• College degree in Human Services or related field preferred; relevant experience may substitute.
• 2 years in a supervisory role within residential or developmental disability services.
• Strong knowledge of Connecticut DDS Policies and Procedures.
• DDS Medication Administration, CPR, and PMT certifications required.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with hiring, performance management, and team leadership.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of residential programs.
• Support and supervise residential staff to ensure quality care.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergencies.
• Assist with direct care coverage, including appointments and shifts.
• Help ensure medical and behavioral needs are documented.
• Complete required paperwork, reports, drills, and program documentation.
• Monitor homes to ensure safety, cleanliness, and policy adherence.
• Help ensure programs follow DDS regulations.
• Communicate with families, guardians, medical providers, DDS, and team members.
• Assist with staff training, scheduling, coaching, and performance support.
• Work with departments to support individuals served.
• Step in to provide program support and supervision when needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
