Job summary

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence is seeking a Residential Coordinator to assist in coordinating a total residential program, promoting independence and inclusion. You will supervise Direct Support Professionals, ensure safety, and drive program compliance across sites in Jefferson and St.

Lawrence counties. Ideal candidates have relevant education in human services and supervisory experience, with medication certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days, and a NYS driver’s license

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or related field and 1 year experience with developmentally disabled.
• Associates Degree and 2 years’ experience with developmentally disabled; 1 year supervisory.
• High School Diploma with 3 years’ supervisory experience in a developmentally disabled program.
• Must be medication certified or able to obtain certification within 90 days.
• Valid NYS driver’s license; ability to be van certified within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and direction to Direct Support Professionals to ensure safety and welfare.
• Train and supervise staff to ensure rehabilitative services meet people we support needs.
• Train people we support in self-care, domestic skills, socialization and designated areas.
• Ensure residence operations meet agency policy; implement corrective actions until compliant.
• Complete and file all programmatic issues and billing-related documentation accurately.
• Implement and follow through ADL, interpersonal skill training and behavior programs.
• Assist in managing life plans and monitor plans at annual review.
• Ensure documentation, fire drills, site needs are completed timely.
• Conduct staff meetings, training and related discussions.
