Job summary

The Arc Jefferson – St. Lawrence is seeking staff to assist in coordinating the total day program for people we support, emphasizing independence and inclusion.

You will maintain a person-centered approach and document services clearly in line with waivers and regulations. Responsibilities include supporting community activities, arranging transportation, documenting activities, and adhering to agency policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency preferred.
• Experience working with people diagnosed with developmental and/or intellectual disability preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the coordination of the total day program for the people we support stressing independence, inclusion and individualization with emphasis on the person’s choice.
• Maintain a person-centered philosophy and promote growth toward independence.
• Complete required documentation in a timely fashion per agency guidelines.
• Provide transportation assistance and ensure safety during community activities and bus transport.
• Communicate needs of people we support to supervisors and participate in staff meetings.
