Job summary

Baker Home Energy in Escondido, CA is seeking a skilled Plumbing Technician to support residential installations, maintenance, and repairs, focusing on water heaters, water filtration (including reverse osmosis and softeners), and general plumbing upgrades.

The ideal candidate is dependable, can manage service calls independently, deliver high-quality workmanship and customer experience; may assist with HVAC tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of residential plumbing experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Experience educating customers on system care and preventative maintenance.
• Familiarity with software such as Microsoft Office, ServiceTitan, Salesforce, or similar systems.
• Willingness to pursue continued education or certifications (e.g., State Plumbing License, Journeyman Certification, EPA Certification, Water Treatment Certification).
• OSHA and CPR certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair residential plumbing systems, including water heaters and water filtration systems
• Diagnose plumbing issues and implement efficient, effective solutions
• Ensure all work meets or exceeds local code requirements and industry standards
• Stay current on industry regulations, tools, and emerging technologies
• Communicate clearly with homeowners regarding repairs, recommendations, and preventative maintenance
• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to maximize system performance and lifespan
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with company and regulatory standards
• Assist with HVAC system maintenance and repair as needed
