Job summary

Equity Residential is seeking a Multisite Maintenance Technician to support maintenance at two or more apartment communities in California. You will handle resident service requests, prepare market-ready units, and maintain common areas with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on maintenance skills, problem-solving for plumbing/electrical issues, and the ability to work flexible shifts including weekends. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation are expected.

Qualifications

• Hands-on general service maintenance experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and interior repairs.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver''s license with good driving record and reliable transportation if operating a vehicle.
• English communication skills for work purposes.

Responsibilities

• Prepares all market-ready apartments.
• Responds to resident service requests and concerns promptly.
• Performs various maintenance functions.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; keeps them clean.
• On-call emergency service as required.
• Performs special maintenance projects as assigned.
• Reports maintenance concerns to Service Manager.
• Follows federal/state housing laws and internal policies.
