Regions Bank is seeking a Mortgage Loan Officer to originate residential loans through a branch network. You will complete applications, evaluate qualifications, and maintain close contact with customers to ensure a smooth loan process.

The role emphasizes building external business via referral partners, networking, and cross-selling Regions products. A strong knowledge of mortgage products, regulations, and MS Office is essential. This is a full-time, on-site position with an incentive plan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year mortgage lending experience with proven production.
• Strong ability to develop external business via referral partners (realtors, builders, financial planners).

Responsibilities

• Completes mortgage applications for submission to processing and underwriting.
• Evaluates loan requests, analyzes financial data, and determines qualification of collateral and customer credit history.
• Maintains contact with loan customers, communicating progress and requesting documentation.
• Structures loan to comply with lending practices and Federal regulations.
• Establishes a detailed marketing plan including references to potential and existing customers and contact frequency.
• Answers customer calls and walk-in discussions about loan products and qualifications.
• Makes sales calls to develop new business or retain existing business.
• Cross-sells other bank products and services.
• Reads surveys and appraisals and addresses encroachments and violations.
