Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking independent contractors to conduct Residential Insurance Inspections across client sites in the United States. As a 1099 contractor, you will travel to client locations, take photographs, record measurements, and produce detailed inspection reports for underwriting review.

You set your own schedule while maintaining a 21‑day turnaround for each inspection, with invoices processed monthly through our cloud‑based system.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of home inspection, loss control, or underwriting experience.
• Reliable transportation and high‑speed internet connection.
• Digital camera, measuring wheel, and Windows PC.
• Proficiency with inventory and reporting software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: CPCU or IIA certifications; BA/BS degree.
• Must own smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.

Requirements

• At least two years of comparable experience (e.g., home inspector, loss control, or underwriting).
• Reliable transportation and a high‑speed internet connection.
• Digital camera, measuring wheel or equivalent tool, and Microsoft Windows PC.
• Proficiency with inventory and reporting software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience, construction background, loss‑control experience, BA/BS degree. Preferred certifications include CPCU or IIA.
• Must own a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
