Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking independent Residential Insurance Inspectors to work as 1099 contractors. You will travel to client locations, perform inspections, take photographs, record measurements, and generate detailed reports for underwriting review.

You set your own schedule while adhering to a 21-day turnaround for each inspection, with invoices processed monthly through our cloud-based system.

Qualifications

• Two+ years of experience in home inspection, loss control, or underwriting.
• Reliable transportation and high-speed internet.
• Own digital camera, measuring wheel (or equivalent tool), and Windows PC.
• Proficiency with inventory and reporting software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: CPCU or IIA certifications; BA/BS degree.

Responsibilities

• Document construction details, unique architectural features, and ownership risks.
• Identify underwriting concerns and outline recommendations to prevent future losses.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience, construction background, loss‑control experience, BA/BS degree. Preferred certifications include CPCU or IIA.
• Must own a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
