Job summary

Signature Companies is seeking independent contractors to act as Residential Insurance Inspectors. As a 1099 contractor, you will travel to client locations, perform inspections, take photographs, record measurements and prepare detailed reports reviewed by underwriters.

Work is paid per completed report with monthly invoicing through a cloud-based system. You set your own schedule while maintaining a 21-day turnaround for each inspection.

Qualifications

• At least two years of comparable experience (e.g., home inspector, loss control, or underwriting).
• Reliable transportation and a high-speed internet connection.
• Digital camera, measuring wheel or equivalent tool, and Microsoft Windows PC.
• Proficiency with inventory and reporting software.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience, construction background, loss-control experience, BA/BS degree. Preferred certifications include CPCU or IIA.
