Job summary

Signature Companies is hiring independent contractors as Residential Insurance Inspectors. You will travel to client locations, conduct inspections, take photographs, record measurements, and produce detailed reports for underwriters.

Pay is per completed report with monthly invoicing through our cloud system; you set your own schedule while meeting a 21‑day turnaround for each inspection. Responsibilities include scheduling, documenting property details, and submitting quality reports.

Qualifications

• Two years of comparable experience in home inspection, loss control, or underwriting.
• Must own reliable transportation and a high‑speed internet connection.
• Proficiency with inventory and reporting software.
• Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience, construction background, loss‑control experience, CPCU or IIA certifications.

Responsibilities

• Document construction details, unique architectural features, and ownership risks.
• Identify underwriting concerns and outline recommendations to prevent future losses.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Preferred: prior underwriting or residential inspection experience, construction background, loss‑control experience, BA/BS degree. Preferred certifications include CPCU or IIA.
• Must own a smartphone, tablet, and personal computer.
