Mercer University is seeking a Mental Health Technician for the NAMI of Central GA program in Warner Robins. You will supervise residents, lead activities, liaise with care providers, and support daily living tasks including bathing, dressing, and meals.

This role requires at least a high school diploma or GED, First Aid/CPR, and the ability to work with adults with mental health needs. Reliable transportation, eligibility to work in the U.S., and willingness to participate in ongoing training

Qualifications

• Age 18 or older with a high school diploma or GED, bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
• TB screening, First Aid/CPR, and Proxy Caregiver Certifications are a must (will provide).
• Non-Profit experience is a plus.
• Preferred experience working with the mentally ill.
• Minimum one-year experience in healthcare/insurance/caregiving.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean MVR.
• Live within commuting distance of the NAMI facility, group home, and duplex.
• Proficient computer/office equipment skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask.
• Possess strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Critical listening and thinking skills.
• Strong time management skills.

Responsabilités

• Supervise residents in daily activities and assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Lead group activities and coordinate daily schedules for residents.
• Communicate with doctors, family, and staff; maintain accurate documentation.
• Assist and monitor resident medications and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate transportation to medical appointments and activities.
• Prepare meals and maintain home cleanliness and safety.
