Mercer University’s NAMI Central Georgia program seeks an Environmental Services Technician to perform routine cleaning, restock supplies, and maintain sanitary facilities in residential and program spaces. This role requires attention to safety, confidentiality, and compassionate interaction with staff and residents.

The position is part-time with evening/weekend shifts to align with activity schedules, starting 08/19/2026 and ending 05/08/2027.

Qualifications

• Age 21 or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• TB screening, Frist Aid/CPR
• Live within commuting distance of the NAMI facility, group home and duplex
• Non-Profit experience is a plus

Responsabilités

• Perform routine cleaning tasks in common areas, offices, restrooms, and resident rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness in kitchens, laundry rooms, storage areas, and other facility spaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste per health and safety policies.
• Restock cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed and report low inventory to the Operations Manager.
• Clean and disinfect high-touch areas regularly to reduce the risk of illness or infection.
• Perform deep cleaning of assigned areas on a rotating schedule.
• Ensure cleaning equipment is properly used, stored, and maintained.
• Immediately report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor.
• Follow all safety procedures, including proper labeling and use of cleaning chemicals and PPE.
• Support special projects or seasonal cleaning needs as assigned
