Job summary

Mainstay United, a program of Resources for Human Development (RHD), is seeking a Residential Manager in Bethlehem, PA. This full-time role oversees daily operations of residential homes, supervises staff, ensures safe and empowering environments, and coordinates care for individuals with developmental disabilities.

The position requires leadership, strong communication, and organizational skills, with opportunities for professional development within RHD.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid non-provisional driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise and support employees in a residential setting.
• Ability to successfully complete required background clearances.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Experience with medication administration and healthcare coordination.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of assigned residential homes and ensure high-quality services are provided.
• Supervise Lead Direct Support Professionals and Direct Support Professionals.
• Create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals receiving services.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, meal preparation, and community participation.
• Promote independence, self-advocacy, and meaningful community engagement.
• Ensure appropriate staffing coverage and manage employee schedules.
• Conduct employee training, orientation, coaching, and performance management activities.
• Monitor medication administration processes and support medication management compliance.
• Coordinate medical appointments and monitor health-related services.
• Maintain accurate documentation, consumer records, and electronic health records.
• Participate in on-call responsibilities and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
• Monitor home safety, conduct inspections, and oversee emergency preparedness activities.
• Manage consumer funds, petty cash, and household budgets in accordance with regulations.
• Serve as an advocate and liaison with families, providers, and community resources.
