Job summary

Mainstay United is seeking a Residential Manager in Bethlehem, PA to lead daily operations of our community homes and ensure high-quality, person-centered services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

You will supervise direct support staff, coordinate schedules, support health and safety, and advocate for independence and community integration while maintaining compliant documentation and on-call availability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least three years' experience with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to supervise staff in a residential setting.
• Able to complete required background clearances.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of assigned residential homes and ensure high-quality services.
• Supervise Lead Direct Support Professionals and Direct Support Professionals.
• Create a safe, supportive, and empowering environment for individuals.
• Assist individuals with daily living activities, personal care, meals, and community participation.
• Promote independence, self-advocacy, and community engagement.
• Ensure staffing coverage and manage employee schedules.
• Conduct training, orientation, coaching, and performance management.
• Monitor medication administration and support medication management.
• Coordinate medical appointments and health-related services.
• Maintain documentation and consumer records.
• Participate in on-call and respond to emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Monitor home safety, inspections, and emergency preparedness.
• Manage consumer funds, petty cash, and household budgets.
• Advocate and liaison with families, providers, and community resources.
