MMS Group is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician for a 141-unit residential property in Staten Island, NY. The role involves maintaining apartment homes and common areas, performing repairs, installing flooring, and managing unit turnover.

The candidate should have 3+ years in residential multifamily maintenance, a high school diploma, and proficiency in basic electrical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks. A valid driver’s license and basic tools are required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property management/apartment maintenance.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Physical requirements include heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance of residential apartment homes and common areas.
• Perform repairs in residential units and other areas of the property.
• Install tile and laminate flooring.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to emergency calls per policy.
• Manage turnover of empty units, including repairs and replacements.
• Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
