Job summary

MMS Group is seeking an experienced Building Maintenance Technician for a 250-unit residential property in Bayonne, NJ. The role entails upkeep of apartments, common areas, and unit turnovers to ensure high-quality living spaces.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in multifamily maintenance, a HS diploma or equivalent, and skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. A valid driver's license and basic tools are required.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of residential multifamily property maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Possession of basic tools needed to perform routine maintenance tasks.
• Physical requirements include heavy lifting, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing, balancing, and carrying.

Responsibilities

• Regular maintenance of residential apartment homes and common areas.
• Perform repairs on electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Install tile and laminate flooring as needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours emergencies.
• Manage turnover of empty units including repairs and cosmetic work.
• Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
