Job summary

Brookfield Properties is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for our Ashford Place community in Charlotte, NC. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and related systems as part of a collaborative on-site team.

The role requires 1–2 years of commercial or multi-unit residential property experience, a high school diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in Commercial Property or Multi-Unit Residential Property.
• High School Diploma or GED; 3–4 years of experience can offset the minimum education.
• Preferred certifications: HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing.
• May require a valid driver's license depending on property needs.
• Must communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal.
• Weekend work May be required (Saturday and Sunday).

Responsibilities

• HVAC: repairs, cleans, replaces as needed.
• Plumbing: repairs and replacement of parts, installation.
• Carpentry: repairs and installs doors, shelves, countertops, locks.
• Painting: drywall/plaster repairs, painting tasks.
• Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, switches, power issues.
• Machinery: maintain chillers, belts, pumps, fans.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents.
• Other duties as assigned.
