Job summary

Core 3 is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support day-to-day maintenance for our managed properties in Springfield, IL. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain homes within occupied communities while delivering excellent resident service.

The role requires hands-on experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting and appliance repairs, plus the ability to work independently and on an on-call rotation. Valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

Hands-on residential maintenance experience.
Ability to independently diagnose and troubleshoot common residential issues.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Experience working inside occupied homes and apartment communities.

Responsibilities

Complete assigned maintenance work orders from resident requests.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair maintenance issues in occupied homes and apartments.
Perform plumbing repairs (toilets, flappers, faucets, disposals, drains).
Troubleshoot electrical issues (outlets, switches, GFCIs, breakers, lighting).
Complete drywall, painting, carpentry, hardware, lock and door repairs.
Perform appliance troubleshooting and repairs.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections.
Ensure make-ready repairs are completed on schedule.
Document work orders and materials used electronically.
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment.
