Job summary

McCormack Baron is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a wide range of on-site duties at our residential communities in Illinois. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems while ensuring safety and quality in service to residents.

You’ll handle electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliance repairs, painting, and other typical apartment maintenance tasks, support the Maintenance Supervisor, and keep work orders and inventories up to date.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in resident maintenance or related field.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be available for emergency on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical, carpentry, plumbing, appliance repair, painting, and other apartment maintenance tasks.
• Support the Maintenance Supervisor with daily work orders, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and other duties.
• Adhere to the dress code and use appropriate PPE; follow safety procedures.
• Complete work orders electronically and manually.
• Maintain the maintenance shop, inventories, and supplies.
