RHF (Retirement Housing Foundation) in Seattle seeks a Building Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our residential property, ensuring safe, comfortable living environments for residents. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical work, preventive maintenance, and apartment turnover with a focus on reliability and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-3 years in building maintenance, residential preferred.
• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry skills preferred but not required.
• EPA or HVAC certifications are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• General maintenance and repairs on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry).
• Respond to maintenance requests and after-hours emergencies promptly and safely.
• Implement preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Prepare vacant units for new tenants: cleaning, painting, repairs.
• Ensure safety compliance and conduct regular safety checks.
• Maintain exterior grounds, landscaping, snow removal, and upkeep.
• Keep accurate records of maintenance requests, repairs, and inventory.
• Collaborate with property management to prioritize tasks.
• Provide excellent customer service to residents and address concerns.
