Job summary

RP Management Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform non-technical building upkeep, prepare vacant apartments, respond to resident work orders, and support on-call responsibilities. Responsibilities include HVAC troubleshooting/repair, appliance replacement, basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical work, and maintaining records.

On-call evenings and snow removal are part of duties. We offer bonuses, PTO, medical and dental coverage, 401(k) with employer matching, and in-house HVAC

Qualifications

• 1 year experience as a residential maintenance technician.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• EPA certification required for certified maintenance technicians.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vacant apartments for occupancy.
• Complete resident work order requests promptly and proficiently.
• Assist Lead Maintenance Technician in inventory control.
• Troubleshoot, install, and repair HVAC systems.
• Replace and/or repair apartment appliances.
• Perform unit upgrades/rehabs including demo, framing, drywall, cabinetry, flooring, doors and fixtures.
• Install and repair plumbing and electrical, plus general carpentry and painting.
• Work on-call emergency response schedule.
• Perform snow removal.
• Maintain equipment, storage and work areas in a clean, orderly condition.
• Inform Lead Maintenance Tech of maintenance and inventory needs.
• Maintain required records (materials usage, time, production, etc.).
• Communicate maintenance issues to Community Manager.
