Job summary

KETTLER is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to service a residential property in Tysons, VA. You will respond to resident maintenance requests, troubleshoot HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance issues, and complete repairs to restore service promptly.

This on-site role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift 60 lbs., climb ladders, and be available for nights and weekend on-call coverage.

Qualifications

• EPA/CFC Type I & II certifications preferred; must obtain within 180 days from date of hire.
• Basic knowledge of appliance, electrical, and plumbing repair.
• Valid Driver’s License and must live within 30 minutes of the property.
• Outstanding customer service and focus on providing residents with timely and accurate responses.
• Responsible for taking calls for after hours emergency maintenance; nights and weekends on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities

• Handle multiple residential service requests daily.
• Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service within HVAC, electrical, plumbing and appliance repair; troubleshoot and take action to repair or restore service; escalate as needed.
• Participate in all maintenance projects.
• Prepare vacant units for market ready status through turnover repairs.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all systems at the property.
• Perform general repair of property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors.
• Demonstrate customer service by treating residents with respect and completing work orders with urgency.
• Other duties as assigned.
