Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Service Technician to ensure the physical condition of our properties meets high standards for safety, cleanliness, and functionality. You will diagnose issues, perform preventative maintenance, and assist in the make-ready process for vacant units.

You must hold EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license for potential on-site duties. The role includes on-site responsibilities, safety compliance, and the possibility of occasional after-hours calls.

Qualifications

• EPA refrigerant certifications Type 1 and II or Universal required for refrigerant recycling.
• All state and local jurisdiction certifications must be held as required.
• Valid driver's license to operate a golf cart on property, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair building systems by following policies, safety standards, and code requirements.
• Complete make-ready tasks to prepare vacant homes for leasing, including inspections and scheduling.
• Manage materials and inventory, tracking usage and reordering as needed.
• Document work orders clearly so requests are tracked and resolved.
• Assist in grounds and common area upkeep, including cleaning and painting when required.
• Support cost-control efforts by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
