Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring the buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas meet company standards for cleanliness, safety, and overall functionality.

Responsibilities include completing resident work orders and preventative maintenance, managing make-ready processes for vacant units, maintaining inventory, documenting workflows, and assisting with groundskeeping. EPA refrigerant certifications are required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests for service and performs preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs per safety standards.
• Completes the make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, including pre-move-out inspections, punch lists, scheduling vendors, and inspecting work.
• Follows procedures to access materials and track inventory, returns unused items, and notifies supervisors when re-orders are needed.
• Completes documentation and paperwork to document service requests and track progress.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, pressure-washing, painting curbs and signage.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when possible and using tools correctly.
