Job summary

Inland Residential Real Estate Services, Inc. in Naperville, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to manage the upkeep of our multi-family community.

The role focuses on safe, efficient repairs in apartments and common areas, responding to service requests, and maintaining grounds and records. Candidates should have 1+ years in property maintenance, hands-on skills in plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in property maintenance or equivalent fieldwork.
• Ability to interact professionally with prospects, residents, staff, and management.
• Hands-on experience with plumbing, carpentry, electrical, heating and air conditioning systems.
• HVAC and CPO certifications preferred; EPA/CFC certification required within 45 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work evenings, weekends, and on-call hours.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Communicate with residents on status of service requests to ensure satisfaction.
• Keep the property clean and safe; correct unsafe conditions.
• Maintain records for preventive maintenance, service requests, and expenditures.
• Ensure make-ready repairs and services are completed on schedule.
• Rake, sweep, shovel, and salt property grounds when needed.
• Change locks and keys.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
