Job summary

Inland Residential Real Estate Services, Inc. is hiring a Maintenance Technician for our Naperville community. This full-time role supports repairs, preventive maintenance, and make-readies to keep the property safe and inviting for residents and staff.

You will handle plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, HVAC tasks, pools, landscaping, and general cleaning. Extensive tools, reliable transportation, and certifications strengthen candidacy.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of property maintenance or related fieldwork.
• Hands-on experience with basic plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC systems, pools, landscaping, and cleaning.
• Furnish own tools and have transportation for parts.
• HVAC certified and CPO certified preferred.
• EPA/CFC certification or willingness to obtain within 45 days of hire.
• CAMT preferred; willing to obtain if requested by management.
• Lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, roofs, bend and reach.
• OSHA guidelines familiarity.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Fair Housing certification prior to interaction with prospects or residents.
• Travel to pick up parts as needed.
• Drug and background screening required.

Responsibilities

• Address resident service and maintenance requests promptly.
• Communicate status of service requests to residents to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain property condition and safety across the community.
• Keep records of preventive maintenance and work orders.
• Ensure make-ready repairs and apartment readiness on schedule.
• Rake, sweep, shovel, and salt grounds as needed.
• Change locks and keys.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
