Job summary

Ingerman Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Spruce Run community in Clinton, NJ. You will perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance while ensuring apartments are ready for new residents.

You will respond to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays, and you will patrol and clean common areas daily. A valid driver’s license and hand tools are required, with on-site duties and travel up to 20% as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of maintenance or construction experience preferred.
• One year of full-charge residential maintenance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of OSHA rules preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.
• HVAC certification preferred.
• Able to read, speak and comprehend English.
• Proficient in plumbing, electrical and machinery repair.
• Able to follow directions and work independently.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs repairs, troubleshoots mechanical systems, and completes preventative maintenance.
• Restores vacated apartments to move-in condition for new residents.
• Removes snow, ice and leaves from sidewalks, walkways, steps and driveways/parking spaces.
• Completes janitorial requirements in accordance with the janitorial schedule.
• Responds to on-call emergencies on weekends, evenings, and holidays—resolving issues.
• Patrols property daily to identify areas in need of cleaning and completes required work—remove trash and debris.
