Job summary

Equity Residential is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead an on-site maintenance team, partnering with the Community Manager to uphold Equity standards and keep properties in top condition.

You will analyze the financial performance, oversee scheduled maintenance, manage inventory, and respond to emergencies. This role requires hands-on trade skills, strong communication, and weekend/on-call availability.

Qualifications

• Hands-on maintenance experience in plumbing, electrical, appliances, and HVAC.
• Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• EPA Section 608 Type I/II or Universal certification required within 90 days

Responsibilities

• Partner with Community and Property Manager to cultivate a high-performing team.
• Ensure team adheres to Equity standards and respond to resident service requests promptly and safely.
• Assist team with maintenance tasks and prepare market-ready apartments.
• Analyze property management system data and advise on financial concerns.
• Collaborate on capital improvements and oversee inventory control.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and prepare status reports.
• Respond to emergencies after hours when on-call
