Job summary

Best Buddies Living in Los Angeles is seeking a Residential Manager to coordinate all operations of the residence, supervise staff, and act as liaison with the community. You will support residents toward independent living goals and manage program strategy with the Senior Director.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least five years of experience with IDD, plus strong leadership, communication, and project management skills. Housing and utilities are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and at least five years progressive experience with IDD.
• Experience in independent or transitional living programs.
• Strong initiative, drive for results, and ability to lead teams.
• Excellent project management, planning, and problem solving.
• Dependable with ability to adapt communication style across departments.
• Strong persuasive writing and presentation skills to convey mission and goals.
• Comfortable with local travel and flexible hours including evenings/weekends.
• Access to an automobile with applicable insurance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations of the residence and supervise staff.
• Serve as liaison with agency/community and residents.
• Develop resident support plans and track outcomes.
• Assist residents toward independent living goals.
• Develop program strategy with Senior Director and plan events.
• Promote access to community activities and transportation.
• Lead marketing efforts to recruit residents and manage occupancy.
• Oversee daily schedules, events, meals, and meetings.
• Document progress notes and participate in plan meetings.
• Communicate with families and adhere to policies and trainings.
