UMass Boston is seeking an Assistant Director of Residential Life to provide leadership for co-curricular and administrative initiatives that foster community, leadership development, and student engagement in the residential environment.

The role includes supervising staff, supporting staff development, managing budgeting and programming, and serving in conduct and Title IX capacities. It requires on-call availability and live-in experience near campus.

Qualificações

• Master's Degree in Higher Education, Student Services, Student Affairs, Counseling or a closely related field.
• 3–5 years of work experience in residential life and/or student affairs, preferably in an urban setting.
• 2 years of professional live-in experience required.
• Experience with program assessment, housing and student life.
• Willingness to travel and participate in regional/national meetings.
• Evening/weekend/holiday hours and on-call rotation required.

Responsabilidades

• Lead recruitment, hiring, and training of Residential Life staff.
• Support undergraduate student experience and strengthen residential communities.
• Integrate student learning outcomes into the residential experience.
• Oversee budgeting, programming, and assessment for Residential Life.
• Serve as student conduct hearing officer and Title IX officer.
• Maintain partnerships with student life initiatives and university offices.
• Respond to emergencies and be available for after-hours housing issues.
