Job summary

Innovative Home Renovations (IHR) is a residential design-build remodeling firm serving homeowners in the Northeast Seattle area. We seek a Residential Interior Designer who will lead design decisions, guide clients, and collaborate with a project team to create thoughtful, buildable documentation for every project.

You will work closely with homeowners, the Project Coordinator, Drafter, Site Superintendent, suppliers, and trade partners to translate design intent into constructible plans while

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field preferred.
• NCIDQ certification valued but not required.

Responsibilities

• Understand the Client and Their Home: participate in discovery, site visits, and design conversations to capture goals and lifestyle.
• Develop Thoughtful Design Solutions: create cohesive concepts, space plans, finishes, cabinetry, renderings, and presentations.
• Guide Client Decisions: lead design presentations, showroom visits, and material selections while communicating rationale clearly.
• Create Clear, Buildable Documentation: develop floor plans, elevations, cabinetry layouts, finish plans, specs, and construction docs.
• Collaborate Through Planning and Build: work with coordinators, drafters, site leadership, suppliers, and trade partners.
