Job summary

Innovative Home Renovations (IHR) in NE Seattle is seeking an Associate Interior Designer at the start of your career to grow within a hands-on, design-build environment. You will support client‑facing design work, create design and documentation materials, help organize selections and decisions, and learn how design intent becomes a finished home.

A foundation in interior design, a strong portfolio, and curiosity are valued; NCIDQ is appreciated. Recent graduates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Foundation in Interior Design or related degree with strong portfolio.
• Portfolio demonstrating thoughtful visual judgment and design ideas.
• Excellent client communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in client meetings, site visits, design presentations, and showroom visits with guidance.
• Take clear notes on client preferences and decisions.
• Assist with concepts, mood boards, material palettes, finish selections, and furniture plans.
• Develop ability to understand how clients want their homes to function and feel.
• Create space plans, visual presentations, renderings, and finish plans.
• Maintain organized project records; coordinate with the design team to incorporate feedback.
• Learn design documentation standards and communicate design intent clearly.
• Prepare materials for client meetings; communicate professionally with clients and teammates.
• Support the team in tracking design questions and follow-up items.
• Learn how drawings, selections, and decisions affect planning and construction.
