Job summary

Thrive Communities is seeking an HVAC Maintenance Technician in Portland, OR to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems across our properties.

You will manage resident work orders, perform preventive maintenance, and assist with sourcing parts while coordinating with contractors on larger projects. After-hours on-call rotation may be required in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience, ideally in residential or multifamily settings.
• EPA Section 608 Certification (Type I minimum) and Oregon Electrical License.
• Reliable transportation and ability to provide basic hand tools.
• Experience with Yardi or other service management software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems.
• Manage and resolve resident work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform preventive maintenance and seasonal startups/shutdowns.
• Coordinate with outside contractors on larger projects as needed.
• Maintain service records, and rotate on-call duties for after-hours emergencies.
