Job summary

Tex-AC & Heating is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems for homeowners in Richardson, TX and the DFW area. The role requires at least 1 year of direct residential HVAC service experience and EPA Certification, with a valid driver’s license.

You will work on-call on Saturdays on a rotating basis, maintain a professional appearance and vehicle, and provide clear recommendations to homeowners.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of direct residential HVAC service experience; 2–3 years preferred.
• EPA Certification required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work at heights.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Willingness to participate in the rotating Saturday on-call schedule.

Tex-AC & Heating is hiring an experienced Residential HVAC Service Technician to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC systems for homeowners throughout the Richardson and DFW area.

Your New Role

• Work as a Residential HVAC Service Technician in Richardson, TX, serving homeowners throughout the DFW area

• Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems

• Complete residential service calls professionally and accurately

• Explain findings and repair recommendations clearly to homeowners

• Perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer specifications and company standards

• Maintain a clean, organized company vehicle, tools, and work area

• Participate in the rotating Saturday on-call schedule

• At least 1 year of direct residential HVAC Service Technician experience; 2–3 years preferred

• Demonstrated ability to independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair residential HVAC systems

• Experience handling residential HVAC service calls from diagnosis through repair

• EPA Certification required

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to follow instructions, manufacturer documentation, and technical materials

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to develop HVAC technical skills

• Dependable and self-directed approach to learning and completing assigned work

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Must be willing to participate in the rotating Saturday on-call schedule

• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and safely work at heights

• Interest in building a long-term career in the HVAC trade
