Job summary

The Yarco Companies seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance of residential properties in Illinois, managing homes, public spaces, grounds, and equipment while directing a team to meet company standards and resident satisfaction.

You will supervise housekeeping, maintenance technicians, care takers, and grounds staff, perform preventive maintenance, manage inventory, and coordinate on-call emergency responses with the Community Manager.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant certifications preferred.
• Three+ years of maintenance experience in residential property.
• Pool, HVAC, and boiler certifications preferred where applicable.
• Background check, drug screen, and physical demand analysis may be required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct housekeeping/janitorial, maintenance technicians, care takers and grounds staff as assigned by the Community Manager.
• Ensure property appearance and upkeep through daily inspections and adherence to maintenance procedures.
• Execute and document preventive maintenance for resident apartments, public spaces, and equipment.
• Maintain inventory and purchasing processes for parts and supplies following company guidelines.
• Oversee pool maintenance, chemical checks, and compliance with city codes and standards (if applicable).
• Support resident satisfaction and be available for on-call emergencies as needed.
