Blue Collar Services is seeking an experienced Residential HVAC Installer in the Greater Hartford area. This full-time role offers a clear path to leadership with strong earning potential and a signing bonus.

You will handle residential system replacements and installations end-to-end, work with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and controls, and mentor junior installers as the team grows. Connecticut license required.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 HVAC Journeyperson License.
• EPA Section 608 certification.
• Strong residential HVAC installation experience.
• Experience with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, controls, and system startups.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Install furnaces, air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, controls, and related equipment.
• Complete residential HVAC system replacements.
• Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot installation and performance issues.
• Ensure all work meets code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company standards.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites.
• Communicate professionally with homeowners.
• Complete installation documentation accurately.
• Help reduce callbacks through quality workmanship and attention to detail.
• Support and mentor apprentices or junior installers as the team grows.

What You’ll Do

As a Residential HVAC Installer, you will handle residential system replacements and installations from start to finish.

Responsibilities include:

• Install furnaces, air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, air handlers, controls, and related equipment
• Complete residential HVAC system replacements
• Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot installation and performance issues
• Ensure all work meets code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company standards

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 HVAC Journeyperson License

• Strong residential HVAC installation experience

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
