Service Stars is seeking an experienced HVAC Install Lead Technician to oversee residential installation crews in Danbury, CT. Strong leadership, licensing, and a commitment to craftsmanship are essential as you drive quality and efficiency on every project.

You will coordinate with the Install Manager, manage timelines and safety, and ensure flawless ductwork and system start-ups, reflecting the company’s premium service standard.

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut D-2 license (Required).
• Minimum 4 years of residential HVAC install experience.
• At least 2 years leading or guiding an install crew.
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Not required but nice: EPA 608, NATE, and experience with project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC installation crews on high-quality residential projects.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a Lead HVAC Install Technician who brings:

• Licensing: Active Connecticut D-2 license (Required).
• Experience: Minimum 4 years of residential HVAC install experience, with at least 2 years directly leading or guiding an install crew.
• Trade Mastery: Solid, hands‑on knowledge of residential HVAC changeouts, duct transitions, safety standards, and system start‑ups.
• Professionalism: Clear communication, sharp problem‑solving skills, basic computer/tablet literacy, a valid driver's license, and a clean driving record.
• Nice to Have, but Not Required: 10+ years of install experience (4+ years in a lead role), EPA Section 608 Certification, NATE Certification, or experience with digital project management tools.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and mentoring an install crew on high-quality residential HVAC replacement and installation projects.
• Coordinating directly with the Install Manager to ensure equipment, materials, and staging are dialed in before heading to the site.
• Taking full ownership of the job site: managing project timelines, maintaining safety protocols, and ensuring all work meets our strict craftsmanship standards.
• Handling standard physical requirements of the trade: navigating ladders, stairs, attics, and crawlspaces, lifting heavy equipment (50+ lbs), and working in seasonal weather conditions.
