Job summary

Blue Collar Services in Glastonbury, CT is hiring a Residential HVAC Installer to manage residential system replacements and installations from start to finish. Must hold CT D-2 or S-2 license and EPA 608; experience with furnaces, A/C, heat pumps, and startups; clean driving record; team player.

You’ll lead installs, startups, commissioning, document installation details, mentor apprentices as the team grows, and enjoy strong earning potential ($80k-$100k+ in first year) plus a $2k-$3.5k

Qualifications

• Active Connecticut D-2 or S-2 HVAC Journeyperson License
• EPA Section 608 certification
• Strong residential HVAC installation experience
• Experience with furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, controls, and system startups
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Professional communication skills
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Install furnaces, air-conditioning systems, heat pumps, air handlers, controls, and related equipment
• Complete residential HVAC system replacements
• Perform system startups, testing, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot installation and performance issues
• Ensure all work meets code requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company standards
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Communicate professionally with homeowners
• Complete installation documentation accurately
• Help reduce callbacks through quality workmanship and attention to detail
• Support and mentor apprentices or junior installers as the team grows
