Job summary

20/20 Construction in San Diego seeks an Assistant General Manager/General Manager for the Residential Division to partner with the GM on day-to-day operations and growth. This is a working leadership role spanning operations, builder relations, and seller responsibilities.

The ideal candidate has managed $20M+ P&L, led 50+ tradespeople and office staff, and driven builder relationships into repeatable revenue. Not remote; on-site with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive operations leadership in residential plumbing, HVAC, or related mechanical contracting.
• P&L responsibility of $20M or larger with revenue growth and margin protection.
• Proven builder account development and Southern California / San Diego GC relationships.
• Leadership of 50+ personnel across field and office.
• Sales-oriented with demonstrated book-of-business growth.
• Comfort operating at executive level with GM/COO and builder leadership.

Responsibilities

• Co-own divisional P&L performance with the GM.
• Drive on-time, on-budget execution across active single-family and multi-family communities.
• Maintain safety standards with accountability and incident response.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and optimize labor, material, and scheduling.
• Develop and deepen builder relationships; lead project pursuits from qualification to award.
• Represent the division to corporate leadership and participate in strategic planning.
• Lead and develop 50–75 personnel across field and office.
