Job summary

20/20 is seeking an Assistant General Manager/General Manager for the Residential Division in San Diego. The role partners with the San Diego General Manager to run day-to-day operations, grow the division, and serve as a working leader across operations, builder relationships, and revenue growth.

The ideal candidate has led P&L in the $20M+ range, managed 50+ tradespeople and office staff, and built builder relationships that drive repeat revenue.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive operations leadership in residential plumbing, HVAC, or combined mechanical contracting, including single-family and/or multi-family new construction.
• Demonstrated P&L responsibility of $20M or larger with ability to discuss levers to grow revenue and protect margin.
• Proven success in builder account development; Southern California experience preferred, especially San Diego.
• Leadership of teams of 50+ across field and office with a track record of building a bench.

Responsibilities

• Co-own divisional P&L performance with the GM, overseeing revenue, gross margin, labor productivity, material spend, and overhead absorption.
• Drive on-time, on-budget execution across active communities, coordinating production schedules with builders, field leadership, and service teams.
• Maintain strict safety standards in collaboration with the safety function and ensure jobsite compliance and incident response.
• Identify operational bottlenecks and address scheduling, labor allocation, material availability, change orders, and quality inspections.
