Job summary

Venture Community Services Inc. in Massachusetts seeks a Direct Support Professional to supervise and support residents in an adult residential setting, helping with daily activities and promoting independence, self-worth, and community integration.

This full-time position offers paid training, a $1,000 sign-on bonus for full-time, and competitive pay of $19.00–$20.50 per hour, with a schedule that supports work-life balance and opportunities for growth within a compassionate team.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. in education, psychology, rehabilitation, or related field preferred or one year of experience in human services.
• Must maintain active MAP certification, will need to obtain MAP certification within 3 months of hire.
• Must be 21+, with a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and daily use of a car (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), behavior plans, and assessments to align with individual needs and program goals.
• Create, lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to daily scheduled plans.
• Ensure all ISP programs and behavior data sheets are documented
• Ensure medications are delivered and documented
• Foster community involvement, employment opportunities, and recreational activities that support resident engagement and personal development.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support as directed by Residential House Manager.
• Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned by Residential House Manager.
• Perform safety checks, assist with fire drills, and ensure compliance with DDS regulations and safety standards.
