Job summary

Essex Property Trust in California is seeking a Porter to maintain the grounds, exterior areas, clubhouse, and amenities at one or more properties, preserving asset value and delivering a quality living environment for residents. You will clean sidewalks and common areas, manage trash and supplies, perform seasonal tasks, and assist residents with directions and light help, while following safety procedures.

The role is five days onsite with weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Custodial or general maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of exterior areas including sidewalks, parking lots, and landscaping.
• Clean and maintain common areas such as lobbies, hallways, and restrooms.
• Ensure supplies are stocked (toilet paper, soap, towels).
• Perform seasonal tasks (snow/ice removal, leaf blowing, pressure washing).
• Report safety hazards to supervisor.
