Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide seamless start-to-finish consultative design service, building lasting customer relationships and brand loyalty. They meet with customers, listen to project needs, educate on requirements, and create design concepts reflecting personal style, lifestyle, and budget.

The role requires at least 1 year of design or retail experience, with a design degree considered a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected, and knowledge of flooring types is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Design degree is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge including Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and support in-store design needs.
• Schedule design appointments and develop clientele through referrals and store leads.
• Advise homeowners, designers and builders on tile, wood, stone and accessories for projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional, aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects with accuracy, timeliness and clear communication.
