Job summary

Floor & Decor Designers provide a seamless start to finish consultative design service, engaging customers in person to understand project needs and personal style. You will educate on requirements, build creative concepts, and help manage projects from inquiry to installation.

Minimum one year of design or sales experience is expected, with knowledge of hard surface flooring a plus. Strong math, communication, and computer skills are essential in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year interior design or retail/sales experience.
• Degree in Design is a plus.
• Knowledge of hard surface flooring is a plus.
• Proficient in basic mathematical skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet store customers and support design walk-in needs.
• Schedule design appointments for existing and potential customers.
• Provide tile, wood, stone and accessories advice for residential/commercial projects.
• Design and sell complete, functional and aesthetically appealing solutions.
• Manage multiple projects through all phases with accuracy and timely follow-up.
• Collaborate with store leadership to manage projects from inquiry to installation.
• Support company initiatives and stay aligned with design trends.
• Utilize design applications such as Salesforce, Online Scheduler, and MyProject.
