University at Buffalo's Division of Student Life is seeking a full-time Facility Operations Assistant 1 in Residential Maintenance Services. You will join a team to ensure that structures and equipment are installed correctly, maintained, and repaired across UB’s North and South campuses.

This role supports a safe, well-maintained housing environment for students. The position emphasizes physical work, coordination with student crews, and adherence to safety protocols.

Competenze

• Physically able to perform routine and unskilled tasks.
• Must possess a valid NYS Class D driver’s license.
• Labor class position with no education or experience qualifications.

Mansioni

• Performs routine and unskilled work such as carrying supplies, erecting ladders and scaffolding, painting, cleaning gutters and drains, and site cleanup.
• Operates light and motorized equipment including pressure washers, compressors, and snow removal equipment.
• Inspects areas and reports safety hazards or non-adherence to procedures.
• Performs general maintenance tasks such as unclogging toilets and changing light bulbs.
• May lead student crews and supervise on-site activities.
• Performs grounds maintenance and moves equipment and supplies.
• May travel within the facility to pick up or move items.
• Moves furniture and equipment for offices, conferences, and events.
