University at Buffalo is seeking a Facility Operations Assistant 1 in the HVAC department to support routine maintenance and repairs of campus HVAC systems. The role involves following procedures, learning operating protocols, and participating in on-the-job training.

Ideal candidates are physically capable, able to operate in challenging environments, and committed to safety. The position offers full-time employment with benefits and opportunities to grow within the facilities team.

Competenze

Minimum qualifications: physically able to perform tasks and follow written or oral instructions.
Valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the vehicle operated.

Mansioni

Assist in routine maintenance of equipment.
Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, steam, gas and water lines, and other related HVAC equipment.
Carrying out proactive maintenance on HVAC equipment (lubricating machinery, replacing belts, replacing filters, cleaning) and other mechanical equipment rooms.
Follow instructions to learn operating procedures for various HVAC equipment on Campus.
Participate in in-service training courses and on-the-job instruction related to HVAC operation and engineering.
Clean parts, equipment, areas, and painting of HVAC equipment and related areas.
